Germany Balance of Trade
Because of the large number of automobiles and other machinery exported by Germany since 1952, the country has maintained a consistent trade surplus. Most countries in the world recorded large trade surpluses in 2017, with the largest of these coming from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Spain, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates. China, Norway, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ireland are the country with the greatest trade deficits which were recorded.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.
