Italy Business Confidence
The Manufacturing Confidence Index in Italy is based on a survey of 4,000 Italian firms. Among the topics covered in the questionnaire are the present trend in order books, production, and inventories, as well as short-term expectations for order books, production, prices, and the general economic scenario. Adjusted for seasonal factors, the index of business confidence is based on the year 2005 as a starting point. In business sentiment, a score of 100 indicates no change, a value over 100 suggests increased confidence, and a value under 100 indicates low expectations.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.

German Economic Sentiment Rises In September
German economic confidence improved in September but financial market experts remained cautiously optimistic, a monthly survey conducted by the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic confidence rose unexpectedly to 37.3 in September from 34.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 27.3.
