Jamaica GDP Growth Rate YoY
Located in a key position near the Panama Canal, Jamaica is a small island nation with one of the Caribbean's slowest growing economies. The services industry, which includes tourism, employs 10% of the population, is the most important sector of the economy, accounting for around 60% of total GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the JMD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the JMD.
