The average change in the price of products and services offered by manufacturers and producers in the wholesale market over a specified period of time in Japan is measured by the Producer Price Index.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the JPY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the JPY.
