Industrial production in Kazakhstan is a measure of the output of firms that are incorporated into the industrial sector of the country's economy. The most important industry is m  and quarrying, which accounts for 50% of overall production. The production of crude petroleum and extraction of natural gas is the most important part of the mining industry. Manufacturing accounts for 40% of total production. The following are the most important manufacturing segments: metallurgy (15%); food production (7%); and mechanical engineering (4%). Accounting for 8% of overall output are: electricity,  gas, steam, and air conditioning supply. Water supply, sewerage, waste management, and cleanup account for 1%.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the KZT while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the KZT.
