Consumption of food and non-alcoholic beverages is the most significant category in the consumer price index in Macedonia (40.9%of total weight). Followed by housing and utilities accounting for 13.8%, transportation (7.9%), clothing and footwear (7%), restaurants and hotels (5.5%), and furniture, household goods, and maintenance (5.4%). The remaining 19.5% of the total weight is accounted for by miscellaneous goods and services, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, health, communication, recreation and culture, and education.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MKD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MKD.
