The Monetary Policy Committee of the Reserve Bank of Malawi is responsible for making interest rate decisions in Malawi. The official interest rate set by the RBM serves as the key interest rate.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MWK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MWK.
