Mexico Markit Manufacturing PMI

Mexico's manufacturing sector is measured by the Markit Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index, which is based on a survey of 400 manufacturing firms. The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index consists of five individual indexes which are: New Orders (30%), Output (25%) Employment (20%), Suppliers Delivery Times (15%), and Stock of Items Purchased (10%), with the Delivery Times index being reversed to move in a similar direction. A rating above 50 indicates that the manufacturing sector has expanded in comparison to the previous month, a reading below 50 implies contraction, and a reading of 50 shows no change.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MXN while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MXN.
