Mongolia Balance of Trade
China is Mongolia's primary export partner (89% of total exports). Canada and Russia are also included. Mongolia's primary exports are natural or cultured stones, jewelry, minerals (copper, coal, molybdenum, tin, tungsten, and gold), cashmere, and goods derived from animals, such as hides and skins. The country imports a variety of goods, including mineral products, machinery, equipment, electric appliances, recorders, television sets and replacement parts, automobiles, and food supplies. Mongolia's primary trading partners are China (26%) and Russia (22% of total imports). Other trading partners are Japan, the United States of America, and Germany.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MNT while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MNT.
