Morocco GDP Growth Rate YoY
Morocco is Africa's sixth-largest economy. The most important sector in the country services, accounting for 54% of total GDP. Wholesale and retail trade account for 9% of total GDP, public administration accounts for 9%, transport accounts for 4%, and hotels and restaurants account for 2%. Industry accounts for 23% of GDP, with the major divisions being manufacturing (15% of total GDP), construction (5%), electricity and water supply (2%), and mining (2%). Agriculture contributes to the remaining 13% of GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the MAD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the MAD.
