New Zealand ANZ Business Confidence
The business confidence index in New Zealand is intended to capture company sentiment towards the predicted future state of their business and economy as a whole. The survey has around 700 replies. The Net index is produced by subtracting the percentage of firms that anticipate that the economic situation will improve from the percentage of businesses that anticipate that the economic situation will deteriorate.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the NZD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the NZD.
