Consumer confidence in Norway is assessed by the Finance Norway and TNS Gallup consumer confidence poll, which evaluates the level of optimism that consumers have regarding the economy's performance. Overall, consumer confidence rises when the unemployment rate is low and the economy is evolving at a rapid pace. Indicators of average consumer confidence can be valuable in predicting how much money customers are going to spend in a given period of time.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the NOK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the NOK.
