Norway Industrial Confidence
Business tendency survey in Norway is the arithmetic average of responses (balances) to questions on production forecasts, the total stock of orders, and stocks of one's own products. The indicator serves as a guide to the level of industrial production as an expected increase in output signals ramped up production in the coming quarter, an increase in the total stock of orders indicates increased production in anticipation of the future fulfillment of these orders, and an increase in inventories of own products indicates slow sales and reduced activity.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the NOK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the NOK.
