When it comes to expenditures, household consumption is the most important component of GDP, accounting for 66% of total use. This is followed by government expenditure (19%) and gross fixed capital formation (15%). Exports of products and services account for 40% of GDP, whereas imports account for 40% as well.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.
