Machinery and transport equipment, raw materials, and other manufactured items such as textiles and footwear account for the majority of Romania's exports. Romania imports a variety of goods, including machinery and transportation equipment, raw materials, chemicals, and fuels. Over 70% of exports and imports are made to and from other countries of the EU, with Italy, Germany, and France being the most significant partners.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the RON while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the RON.
