Russia Industrial Production YoY
Industrial production in Russia is a measure of the output of firms that are incorporated into the industrial sector of the economy. Accounting for 55% of total production, manufacturing is the most important industry. Metallurgy (9.6%), coke and refined petroleum products (9.5%), food, beverages, and tobacco (8.4%), chemicals (4%), machinery and equipment (3.8%), transportation (3.7%), and electrical equipment (3.4%) are the most important manufacturing segments. Production from mining and quarrying accounts for 35% of overall output, with natural gas and crude oil exploration accounting for 29%. In addition, electricity, gas, and water distribution account for 11% of total expenditure.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the RUB while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the RUB.
