Sweden Riksbank Rate Decision
It is the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Sweden that determines the benchmark interest rate in Sweden (The Riksbank). It is the repo rate, which refers to the interest rate at which banks can borrow or deposit funds with the Riksbank for a period of seven days. This is the principal interest rate in Sweden. CPIF (the CPI with a fixed interest rate) inflation is expected to average approximately 2% per year.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the SEK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the SEK.
