Turkey Istanbul Chamber of Industry Manufacturing PMI

This index, which is drawn from a survey of 400 manufacturing enterprises and is produced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry Turkey, measures the performance of the manufacturing sector. Five individual indexes are used to calculate the composite index, with the weights as follows: New Orders (30%), Output (25%), Employment (20%), Suppliers Delivery Times (15%), and Stock of Items Purchased (10%). The Delivery Times index has been adjusted so that it moves in the same direction as the other four indices. A value above 50 indicates that the manufacturing sector has increased in comparison to the previous month, a rating below 50 indicates that the manufacturing sector has declined, and a value of 50 shows that there has been no change.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the TRY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the TRY.
