Ukraine Balance of Trade
Steel, coal, gasoline and petroleum products, chemicals, machinery, and transport equipment, as well as grains such as barley, corn, and wheat, are the most important exports in Ukraine. In total, more than 60% of exports are sent towards other former Soviet Republics, with the most important destinations including Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Also, Turkey and China are among the trading partners. Oil and natural gas, as well as machinery and equipment, are the most common imports into Ukraine. Countries from the former Soviet Union are the country's primary import partners (Russia and Belarus are the main importers). Recent years have also seen the rise in significance of countries such as Germany, China, and Poland.
