United Kingdom PPI Output MoM
The Producer Price Index (PPI) in the UK is a monthly poll that examines the changes in the prices of goods purchased and sold by manufacturers, and it is a key indicator of inflation in the country. The factory gate price (also known as the output price) is the price at which items are sold by manufacturers in the United Kingdom. It comprises costs such as labor, raw materials, and energy, as well as interest on loans, site or building maintenance, and rent, but excludes taxes.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.
