United States Capacity Utilization
The rate at which prospective output levels are met or used is referred to as the capacity utilization rate. The capacity indexes are developed for 89 detailed industries and cover all facilities situated in the United States, independent of their ownership (71 in manufacturing, 16 in mining, and 2 in utilities).
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.
