United States Monthly Budget Statement
The balance of the Federal Government's budget is the difference between budget receipts (income) and expenditures (spending). A surplus is a positive number. A deficit in the budget is denoted by a negative number.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD.

Homebuilder confidence in the U.S. held steady in the month of September, according to a report released by the National Association of Home Builders on Tuesday. The report said the NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index came in at 32 in September, unchanged from August. Economists had expected the index to inch up to 33.
