Trade deficits in 2017 were recorded with the following countries: South Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Argentina, and Singapore. Vietnam experienced trade surpluses with the United States, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Austria.
