you mean .1 or .2? default is .2 If you trading on .02 setting no way you would get that kind of dd

Well you could do .1 with 30% SL and probably still make money as so far EA has proven to make good return despite taking huge hits, however there is no guarantee in future. I run even less than .1 so harder for me to get stopped out but also dont make as much.

the problem is not just that.... is that the account never follow the master account so its pointless to have some EA like that, even if my account is making more money than the master its not reliable... if you know what I mean

no EA can truly ever be exact same as master unless it trade coper PAMM. SoOoOo why dont you just do that instead?

I agree, in terms, but it should be at least similar not some huge differences....
take a look in my demo accounts portfolio... all of them are running bluemonkeyEA with same setups

But its ok its a risk and I never blame bluemonkey and Alex... instead of that do you have any idea why those huge difference between accounts? I know that i cant be because of the broker because i have two accounts in the same broker and they are too different...

Fxtrader2010, also share with us the others EA that you are following or testing and thanks fot sharing with us your knowledges and opinions you always have some good points

It's quite strange,
my all EURGBP long positions have been closed with profit,
bluemonkey's trading log still has EURGBP long positions.

By the way, @bluemonkey is awesome.

for the money you pay for it and the support received, it really is probably one of best.

Wow... what a day... just when I thought this week was over with no more actions due to holidays, today's activities with GBPUSD and EURGBP were the exact opposite to say the least!
This week ended with bittersweet, while the equity dramatically increased, at the same time the open DD was growing larger too (around 8% at the moment).

Interesting observation on the open trades in master account, if you notice the initial lot size for EURGBP sell positions was 0.01 lot, not 0.02 lot. Since the current balance is around $1150, this would mean one of two possibilities:

1. the current setting in master account has been changed to 0.1 lots per $10,000, from the default setting 0.2 lots per $10,000.

or

2. at the moment the sell position was initiated, the balance had been dropped to under $1000 so the initial lot didn't make it to 0.02.

personally I think the second possibility was the one in play here, but either one, I think the BM is lucky this time, because otherwise the DD would have been around $280 or almost 28% by this time...

Hi all

Giving BM some serious consideration, just thought I'd explain my strategy first, and hope to get some constructive critique from users.

Assuming of course everything goes well, which we know it doesn't! I'm going to deposit a monkey (£500) to Alpari UK (anyone use Alpari?) then if everything goes well wait till I'm 30% up on my account (£650) then start to withdraw £50/100 at a time until I have my investment of £500+£240 back.

I know of course this could be stopped out twice within the next week and leave me with £240, in that event I will just let it do its thing until I either lose all my deposit and remove BM. I will start on default settings, or if I get edgy maybe half the default risk for smaller gains and losses.

Thanks for any comments if you have any

Sorry poor maths, will wait till my account reaches £720 not £650. So i can lose 30% once and retain my initial deposit.

I bought the EA about 3 hours ago through Avangate. Did anyone else have to wait a long time after the transaction was complete, and the order status is "delivered"?

I have closed EURGBP short positions manually.
EURGBP looks like not go down recently.

My BM has been shorting EURGBP successfully. I'm on M15 charts though if that makes any difference.

Interesting... I thought the chart time frame doesn't make any difference for BMEA, but I may be wrong.

Alex, could you confirm on this please?

Hello @hokie,

time frame won't affect bluemonkey,
it has been discussed few times.
Thank you.
