It seems that you didn't even back test your strategy (if you even had one in the 1st place), so how do you know it will work in the long run?

Does a perfect forex trading strategy truly exist?

The question is what perfect is. So it's meaningless to talk about it. But we can talk about the best forex strategy - the one that has the highest Recovery factor per unit of time. Such a strategy obviously does exist currently in the world, but we will never know it, because its owner will never disclose it. The goal of each trader is to develop their own best strategy that is proven by backtesting.

Anything that works in backtests in and out-of-sample is good. But to reliably test a scalping strategy it needs to be real ticks and it should not trade during low liquidity times (slippage).

Why software can't replace your trading if it already replaced your analysis? It cannot click the "trade" button for you?

First of all, any trading is algorithmic. You probably meant automatic trading. Yes, it is much better than manual trading. I have no tiny doubt.

Sure, I use my own EAs that run my strategies. I believe it is the best way to trade, because it makes reliable back testing possible. Frequent optimization and out-of-sample testing makes the reliability of a strategy so much higher.

Besides, the rr = 1:2 rule is also a harmful myth. The only thing you should care about is recovery factor - rf, that you are able to reach in your back test. Rf - profit / max dd. The profit can be monthly or yearly. For example, if your max dd = 20% and yearly profit is 60%, then your rf = 3. It's considered amazing. As a beginner you'd probably think, "what?! It's not worth it". Ok, then work on making your reliable back test reach a better rf. But make sure your back test is reliable - only platforms with both bid and ask (like MT5). If it's scalping then only on ...

What are the main risks in Forex trading?
一般

Jun 03 at 17:53
The main risk is not having a profitable strategy (backtested and proven) and not miscalculating your risk and adequate deposit. Here is how the risk management works:First of all you need to assess what maximal drawdown (in money! not in %) will make you emotionally comfortable, so that you don't start closing positions only because being scared. Obviously this decision will depend on your perception of yourself and all your capital. It's very personal. For example, someone who has only $100k of funds and has no any other capital might feel that his max comfortable DD is 2k, while for ...

Risking only 2% of what? The risk should be calculated from all your funds and not per one trade. This rule of 2% per trade is someone's old trolling that people take seriously for some reason. Risk management goes like this: first of all you need to assess what maximal drawdown (in money! not in %) will make you emotionally comfortable, so that you don't start closing positions only because being scared. Obviously this decision will depend on your perception of yourself and all your capital. It's very personal. For example, someone who has only $100k of funds and has no any other ...
