The logic:1. If you can’t tell a machine how to perform your strategy, then you simply don’t have a strategy. Strategy = clear rules. No clear rules = no strategy.2. If you do have a strategy, but insist on performing it yourself, your emotions will inevitably get in the way, sooner or later. Automation is the best way to prevent it.3. Most strategies can’t be reliably back-tested manually. No reliable back-testing = loss.

The question is what perfect is. So it's meaningless to talk about it. But we can talk about the best forex strategy - the one that has the highest Recovery factor per unit of time. Such a strategy obviously does exist currently in the world, but we will never know it, because its owner will never disclose it. The goal of each trader is to develop their own best strategy that is proven by backtesting.

Anything that works in backtests in and out-of-sample is good. But to reliably test a scalping strategy it needs to be real ticks and it should not trade during low liquidity times (slippage).

Sure, I use my own EAs that run my strategies. I believe it is the best way to trade, because it makes reliable back testing possible. Frequent optimization and out-of-sample testing makes the reliability of a strategy so much higher.
