Hey Drew,

1) I figured out later that on the first levels, TP is 60 pips away from the latest order and later on, while shifting up on the levels (in a hard trending scenario), the TP would be 130 pips away or so from the latest order.
For any reason (better spread with that broker ?), my TEA has only a 3 sell orders basket opened on USDCAD for now which is odd considering the hard trending lately. That's why I wasn't able to compare properly.
So that's OK for that point.

2) The setting of my working demo is Multiplier 3 iRisk 1. The first order opened is with lot size 0.06.
Does that answer your question ? Are you able to compare with your situation ?

3) I have opened another demo with IBFX AU (FXCure that works is on IamFX) with 28 pairs (everything that was available and no-exotic) and same mult/iRisk settings to check as I've never been able to have it working on another broker. It was before 0.94 though ...

4) My ultimate worry to you system/logic is :

     A) the hard and long term sustained trend as we see now with CAD. we have to retrace 140pips to close the current basket which is a lot. We should think about a liquidation parameter as a security if we see the current situation pushing our demos to failure ? (to be discussed only if that occurs)
     B) FED and CEB statement/testifying that had been account blowing episodes to my TEA demos

In my opinion, If FXCure passes these 2 latest obstacles and considering the excellent results I got, YOU'LL HAVE A WINNER !
The rest is just minor fixes.

Take care my man !

David

Hi Drew,

long time no see since we communicate the filter concept for TOM's EA about half year again. At that Period, you used sender and receiver tools to filter out the 1x, 3x etc orders generated from TOM's EA.

since last Sept, I have to focus on my new Job so I just let TOM's EA run at usually. so far so good.

I roughly browsed the post here, But I could not find any live account to show the performance with filter function of TOM's EA developed by your team.

It sounded that you have the much progress than what we have discussed about half year ago. So could you help me to understand your progress?
1) you took out the core mechanism from TOM's EA and add the filter function to form the new EA, right? as you knew, TOM's EA is not simple martingle method based on the mathematics , the trader open depended on many indicators.
2) The real threaten from TOM's EA is from the strong trend, according to my experience in the past 2+ years with TOM's EA, -600 stop loss is not headache for me. my big headache is the equity DD caused by 6x, 9x etc orders. of course, when such bad situation happened, 1x order is stopped out definitely.
3) do you have the solution to treat the strong trend?
4) finally, if you have live account, please let me know the link, I want to follow up.

thanks !

Okay, crane, TradyDave's is here:

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/Tradydave/fxcure-that-works/814207

I'm sure he won't mind - it' doing quite well.

Personally, I have been having some difficulty with the memory storage for the trades getting corrupted.
So, I am not closing my MT4 in the current attempt.

When more than 1 trade becomes closed, I'll post it's link here.

Honestly, I have not had a trade closed out by -600pips, but that feature is still built into Forex Cure.

Also, a bug was noticed in TEA, where there are Sell orders, seems to go 1X,1X,1X,3X,6X,6X,9X
(notice the 2 6X's) - which may cause the T/P to be too far away. But I don't care.

Any othere questions,. please ask.

Aside, and for TradyDave. I believe we just need to ride out the slaughter of the $CAD. It's not
sustainable, as Canadian dollar is a commodity dollar, and eventually that value is realized.
Good thing we are only trading 6X and larger as the 3X CADJPY just went -600pips.

Later folks....

Hi

Drew : I really expect that system to be sustained-trend proof, cause that is to me THE problem of TEA.
Though, you guys seem to do good with TEA.
I'm interested to know what are you guys achieving ? (Up time of your accounts, overall profit, what pair and what risk, how many account blow up and if you have tricks to protect yourself from it)

Good news. My new FXcure 28 pairs demo on IBFX has opened its first 3 orders on 6x (0.06) for 3 pairs.
I guess there is no broker related problem anymore. (Or there never was any but in my mind ;-)

Crane : of course I don't mind you watching my FXcure demo on myfxbook as I ve published the link on that forum to be public.
Though, I don t understand what is that you re asking exactly on your latest post ? Can you be more specific ?

Y'all have a great week-end.
Cheers,

Dave

Hi David,
Your account provided by Drew is based on Iamfx broker, I have the interest to knowing you account with Drew's EA ON IBFXAU broker . I run TEA with IBFXAU for several years. But never tried Drew's solution.

By the way, TEA1.96 seams to have less pull back to close the basket . For example, 21x , ,only need 60-80 pips to pull back. did Drew use previous version caused large pull back?

Hi Crane, Drew,

1) Here is the link to myfxbook IBFX 28 pairs FxCure Demo :
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/Tradydave/fxcure-28/819176

2) I'm interested in the 2nd point : less pull back to close big baskets that have reached 21x + levels. Cause that latest 130pips to close basket is the nerve of account blowing mechanism in TEA.

Cheers,

David

Hi David, thanks for the sharing!

Your ibfx account is private. Could you change to public? Or can you create the sharing link under private account?
Thanks crane

I only trade EU AND GU pairs with risk level 1 (now it is risk level 10 for new version). I tradd TEA from jan 2012 with small capital . Ever in May 2012, drawdown reached 60%, then stopped trdade for several months, then restarted again. Several months ago I change account and top up the capital protect large DD, now the average profit is about 3% monthly, max DD is about 7%. Total profit since beginning is more 200%.

Generally $3000 capital for one pair with risk level 10.

So far no good method to manage strong trend. Only use large capital to keep small DD.
Hope this is helpful for you.
