Hi Community,

with CFD brokers it seemed to be very easy to make 3 percent per day in average. Sometimes I made 20 percent, but instead to keep the win, I lost everything because of greed.
But 3 percent seems to be realistic.

What do you think how much is realistic?

Thank you

3 percent per day doesn't look realistic

With 3% per day in a year you make 120385%+, in 3 years you turn $100 in $174099242700+

I think 3% per week or 15% per month with low drawdown look like a great performance

From what you wrote, you seem to be an EXTRAORDINARY EXCELLENT trader, if I were you I would probably build a large capital and reduce risk as the capital grows. And after having a large capital I would look for 5% to 10% per month

Oh no, unfortunately I am not a consistant profitable trader. Sometimes I make 5 percent in just 30 minutes. And then I give it back to the market.

Maybe I should try out the signals here.

How does your trading works?

I make 2%-5% of max drawdown on 5ers and FTMO prop firms

In my personal account I still don't have a long history, but my goal is 150% per year

What do you mean with 'on 3ers' ?

The peecent per day or week does not matter. The important thing is consistency. If you make 1% per week then with 1:100 leverage you can turn this into 100% per week. But if you are not consistent then you will eventually loose. Focus on consistancy not percent

'5ers' and 'FTMO' are prop firms.

A prop firm is company which provides you with funds to trade, in counterpart you need to comply to strict risk management rules (e.g do not exceed 5% drawdown).

That´s not true!
If I risk 1 % of my funds with a lever 1 and I would change the lever up to 100, then my risk turns to 100 as well. Only one trade in the wrong direction means to blow up my account.

Thank you for explaining.
I know what prop firms are, but I didn´t know the name 5ers.

Your estimation was totally correct as I believe, 3% daily is realistic and also really fine, just consider that it is 3% of your total risk not your total equity.

Be stable and not loose too much.
Make permanently profits.
I try to make per asset and day 0.3% profits and stop for the day.

i have a monthly goal for my self. its easier to manage and less pressure to perform. i ussually achieve my goal within the first 1-2 weeks of the month but i dont trade much. 5-10 trades per month.

if you want to win, be patient and zoom out your charts, if you have a daily goal, make it 10 pips a day not %
if you have a monthly goal, set something low 10-15% you will see how easy it is to make it.

a succesfull company makes 20% per year, so dont look at 10-15% per month as low, dont be gready and be patient.

you will waste your time and money trying to go big instead se a 2 or 3 year target instead of wasting these years tryign to go big.

speaking from experience, been there, done that.

ps. finding an excellent trade every day is extremly difficult if not impossible, you will eventually blow up

ps. my current system that you may see in my profile is a small account that i trade for fun (seriously but for fun and i have already withdrew my initial deposit so no risk is taken)

Too high targets will lead to burning the account. My target is ca 3-5% ... monthly with a strict control of drawdown. It makes sense if the capital is reasonable and gives you return high enough to satisfy your expectations (for live costs or at least nice extra money to your salary) If you have an account with low capital- no chance to be careful and not overtrade.

I have come to the same result as you. I couldn´t have said it better. ;-)
I am at a point, where I think 20 % / day is too big, but 3% is modest. - But probably I have to correct it much lower. But I am struggeling ...
It is good for me, not to make too much pressure getting rich. It is fun to learn new things in trading, instead of trading the same method over and over again.

Respect: 2.5 % /day!
If you only had 1000 in each account, your accounts would be 377 millions heavy after 2 years. Is that right?
