if you have available money to loose then real is better. Demo is best for who have no ability to loose at all @ primary level. because @ primary level you have to loose.

Does anyone have money to lose?! But even if you are rich and money is meaningless surely it is better to use demo anyway. Then start on a big account that 'hurts' if lose

I never really learnt that much from demo account. I only started learning and taking trading seriously when I used a micro account. I suggest that new trader move on to a real account as soon as they can

Any 1 need to loose because if u loose then u get a idea to how make profit. Without loose u didnt make money in forex. That`s why you need to drive demo.

ok profitable in demo. May i know is it system wise demo or 5000 & 10000 usd demo. if you use large account in demo then real is like that type of demo. I think we use as careless. We want to invest 100 or 500 usd and we use 5000 or 10000 usd. How it will workable. You have to use demo as real. That is if you want to invest 100 then demo is 100usd ok.

So many demo start at $10,000 but with low leverage accounts trading with $10,000 is very different to $100. My account is small so I asked broker to change my demo account size to only be $100 it limit the trades I can take but better practice

demo is must for a new trader, but certainly is not same as live trading. according to me, real experience comes from live trading only and demos are just a way to learn how to trade.

Very true but demo is very good for total newbie. Just to learn how to use the trading platform it is advantage to play on demo. Live is best but can be expensive so demo can help

The demo account is really important for all kinds of traders in particularly the newcomers. in my trading career, after passing a long time I still depend on demo account for some inevitable reason, I use all my trading strategies first of all in demo account to see the performance how it works. this approach always helps me for avoid risk in live account when trading practically. What is your experience in demo ?

Before start live trading, I have practiced 8 months in the demo.

I think it's an essential part to be a good trader.

Until you start making money consistently. Once that happens it's tough to stay in demo. You start thinking 'I could be making real money!'

i agree. then they jump into real market with big cash and lose. demo trading is necessary and small account after that. so not jump to big trades directly after demo.

There are two kinds of traders, those that use demo and learn how to trade, and those that start on a live account and expect to be millionaires at the end of the week . Which ones do you think are more likely to make any money!!! Demo is critical as is discipline

i would say for as long as you need to/feel confident/make consistent profits. i sometimes go back to demos even though i live trade. sometimes if i want to try a new broker or new instruments i go back to demo for a bit. if it is any consolation, i was on demo only for over a year before i switched to live trading.

best of luck!

Is that a trick question?😁
Obviously, the guy on the live account has more chances to make money. The guy on the demo account will never make any money because demo money is not acceptable anywhere, it is not a currency, for your information you cannot even cash it. You better wake up and smell the coffee and go live. Another option start your own cryptocurrency and name it demo money, it may work. 😁
Once, I saw a guy at the bank with a stack of Canadian Tire money trying to redeem it. Unfortunately, the teller had to tell him the truth and snap him out of coma. Embarrassing.

I sometimes go back to demo. If I make changes to a strategy or try out a new one then I will demo trade it for a few months. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but it is safer to fail on demo than on live account
