You can test as much as you like, however, don't forget that we all have different brokers and results will vary.
p.s. checked my opened positions and FGB and they differ with -/+ 20 pips. Some days don't even open together.

from 01.01.2000 to 6.12.2010
profit factor 1.47 relative drawdown 58.78% (i expected myself this were a bit lower)
initial deposit 500 € ---> 2600.41 (fixed lot 0.01)
i investigate a bit to tweak it...

you say that nobody helped you...I would save you some time...stick with default because I've tested almost all combinations and default settings are the best...

fixed 0.01 lot says nothing... you don't know how much the dd would have been later when the equity was much higher and you would have rised the lotsize
you should do the test with power version... there is an option for reinvest capital

I have noticed, that FGB sometimes opens *X (my initial lot). Today it opened x6. I'm a bit worrying 😲

earlier versions did open x2 lotsize for me as well but v1.6 doesn't
it is not normal... contact the developer

I agree, if still you wan to play then play with sl and tp setting.. other wise default is good enough to get you stable profit. and double up your investment.
after that play with your profit..
there is nothing in this world that would live long ever after. thats the case with forex up and downs comes. it need changes time to time..
but FGB is fair enough to give you good profit..with default setting.
I already play with all setting .thats why im saying no need to do any go with default.
but you need stable VPS server low spread broker.. low order execution time.
im using it on my personal desktop system with stable internet connection and backup power i got the same trade as FGB.. i never face any trade diff.
if i lose control on the trade i used to close it manually and restart my mt4.

You, right, in the LOONG term period, seems that Default is a big winner..
But, in the short period, my settings have only a 8 % of drawdown... This is the reason i use it with the default settings...
And for whom called me amateur..

The problem with short term backtests is that without measurable performance how do you know when your parameters are no longer working? Is it when your drawdown slips to 10% or 20% or do you end up waiting until your drawdown has slipped to 58%?
Providing you have a trading plan that covers using this strategy then go ahead and use it but I would make very certain that you have decided in advance at which point you will conclude that it is no longer working. This obviously goes for using backtest data for any period, although settings that have worked over ten years have a much greater chance statistically of working over a longer time period going forward.

Your 8% drawdown in short period is not important cause the market should be in another phase and It can happened you will get 58% DD right now if you will trade with your "super settings" which are overoptimalized
