China GDP Growth Rate YoY
Gross Domestic Product is classified in China into three sectors: primary, secondary, and tertiary. Agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishing comprise the Primary Industry, which accounts for approximately 9% of GDP. The secondary sector accounting for 40% of GDP in the industry and 9% in construction. The Tertiary sector accounts for 44% of total production and includes wholesale and retail trades, transportation, storage, and post, financial intermediation, real estate, hotel, and catering services.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CNY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CNY.

China Service Sector Growth Moderates In April
China's service sector continued to expand in April but the pace of growth moderated slightly, survey results from S&P Global showed on Monday. The Caixin services Purchasing Managers' Index fell to 52.5 in April from 52.7 in the previous month. A reading above 50.0 indicates expansion in the sector. The official PMI survey results also showed that the private sector growth moderated in April.
