The services sector accounts for 63% of Costa Rica's GDP, making it the most important sector of the country's economy. The most important segments of the services sector are transportation, communication, and warehousing (16% of GDP), trade, restaurants, and hotels (15%), and community, personal, and social services (9%). Manufacturing, mining, and quarrying contribute to the creation of 21% of the nation's wealth. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing account for 9% of total output, with the remaining 7% coming from building, water, and electricity distribution.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CRC while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CRC.

(CRC), an energy and carbon management company, announced Monday that Manuela Molina has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective May 8, 2023. Molina succeeds Francisco Leon, who was named President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company's Board of Directors as of April 28, 2023.
