The services sector accounts for 63% of Costa Rica's GDP, making it the most important sector of the country's economy. The most important segments of the services sector are transportation, communication, and warehousing (16% of GDP), trade, restaurants, and hotels (15%), and community, personal, and social services (9%). Manufacturing, mining, and quarrying contribute to the creation of 21% of the nation's wealth. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing account for 9% of total output, with the remaining 7% coming from building, water, and electricity distribution.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CRC while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CRC.
