Cyprus GDP Growth Rate YoY
In Cyprus, tourism, financial services, and real estate accounting for about 80% of the GDP are regarded to be the foundation of the country's economy. Agriculture accounts for only 2% of the total, with industry accounting for 10%. When it comes to spending, household consumption is the most important component of GDP, accounting for 70% of total use. This is followed by government expenditure (16%) and gross fixed capital formation (11%). 55% of the GDP is accounted for exports of goods and services, while imports account for 53% of GDP, contributing 2% to the overall GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.
