Cyprus GDP Growth Rate YoY
In Cyprus, tourism, financial services, and real estate accounting for about 80% of the GDP are regarded to be the foundation of the country's economy. Agriculture accounts for only 2% of the total, with industry accounting for 10%. When it comes to spending, household consumption is the most important component of GDP, accounting for 70% of total use. This is followed by government expenditure (16%) and gross fixed capital formation (11%). 55% of the GDP is accounted for exports of goods and services, while imports account for 53% of GDP, contributing 2% to the overall GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Inflation Hits ECB Target
Euro area inflation rose slightly to hit the European Central Bank's 2 percent target in June on slower fall in energy prices and the rise in services inflation, flash estimate from Eurostat showed on Tuesday. Annual inflation climbed to 2.0 percent in June from 1.9 percent in May. The rate reached the inflation target and also matched economists' expectations.

Eurozone Manufacturing Sector Contraction Slows In June
Eurozone manufacturing activity contracted at a slower pace in June as output showed a sustained expansion and total new work stabilized ending a 37-month period of decline, final survey data from S&P Global showed on Tuesday. The HCOB manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index posted 49.5 in June, up from 49.4 in May. This was the highest score since August 2022.
