Euro Area Labour Cost Index YoY
In the Euro Area, the Labour Cost Index provides a short-term indication of the development of hourly labor costs experienced by employers in nominal terms, that is, without taking into account price developments. It is computed by dividing the cost of labor in national currency by the number of hours worked in that currency. In order to measure quarterly variations in hourly employers' expenses, total labor costs and their primary components: wages and salaries; and nonwage expenditures are taken into consideration (labor costs other than wages and salaries). Wage and non-wage expenditures, as well as subsidies, are included in total labor costs (TOT). However, they do not cover expenditures for occupational training or other expenses such as recruitment charges, expenditures for working attire, and so on.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.

German Economic Sentiment Rises In September
German economic confidence improved in September but financial market experts remained cautiously optimistic, a monthly survey conducted by the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic confidence rose unexpectedly to 37.3 in September from 34.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 27.3.
