Germany Exports MoM
In terms of exports, Germany ranks third in the world, with exports accounting for about half of the country's total GDP. Motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers accounted for 18% of total exports in 2017, followed by machinery and equipment (14%), chemicals and chemical products (9%), computer, electronic, and optical products (9%), electrical equipment (6%), basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (6%), other transport equipment (5%), food (4%) basic metals (4%) and rubber and plastic products (4%). The United States accounting for 9% of overall exports, followed by France (8%), China, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands (7% each), Italy, Austria, and Poland (5% each), Switzerland (4%), and Belgium, Spain, and the Czech Republic (3% each) are the most important export partners.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.

German Economic Sentiment Rises In September
German economic confidence improved in September but financial market experts remained cautiously optimistic, a monthly survey conducted by the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic confidence rose unexpectedly to 37.3 in September from 34.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 27.3.
