The GDP Deflator provides insight into the future direction of monetary policy by measuring the change in prices of final goods and services and it is considered as a key indicator for inflationary pressures.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the JPY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the JPY.
