Industrial production in Slovakia is a metric that quantifies the output of enterprises that are part of the industrial sector of the economy. Accounting for 85% of the overall production the Manufacturing is the most important sector. Automobile (33% of total production), computer products (7%), machinery and equipment (5%), basic metals (5%), rubber products (5%) fabricated metal products (5%) coke, and refined petroleum products (4%) and electrical equipment (4%) are the most important segments within Manufacturing. Accounting for 13% of total output are electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, while water collection, treatment, and distribution account for 1%, and mining and quarrying account for another 1% of total output.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Private Sector Maintains Expansion
The euro area economy continued to expand in September, with broad-based growth in Germany, Italy and Spain, while France contracted further due to political uncertainty, final survey data from S&P Global revealed on Friday. The final HCOB composite output index rose moderately to 51.2 in September, in line with flash estimate, from 51.0 in the previous month.

Eurozone Jobless Rate Rises Slightly
The euro area unemployment rate rose slightly in August but remained near record lows despite weaker economic activity. The jobless rate climbed marginally to 6.3 percent in August from 6.2 percent in July, Eurostat said Thursday. The rate was forecast to remain unchanged at 6.2 percent.
