I discovered FX trading in 2005 and taught myself as much as I could for the next two years before landing a job trading currencies at an arb hedge fund in Chicago.
I stayed two years before setting out on my own, hoping to make a living discretionary trading. I failed.
I moved back out to California and got a "real" job. But I kept at my trading.
Eventually I figured out how to become consistently profitable.
