After trading profitably consistently for 4 years, I blew an account. I thought I was controlling my risk via minimal leverage, but it was obviously not enough.
Because I was trading with money I could afford to lose, I am merely frustrated by this. The loss does not affect my quality of life to any degree.
Nonetheless, may this serve as a lesson to myself and others - or more likely several lessons: be more conservative than you think around leverage, cut losses and, of course, past performance is not indicative of future results.
