Australian Dollar Falls Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar weakened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Thursday.

The Australian dollar fell to more than a 1-year low of 0.6270 against the U.S. dollar and nearly a 2-week low of 94.25 against the yen, from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.6295 and 94.47, respectively.

Against the euro and the Canadian dollar, the aussie dropped to a 2-day low of 1.6824 and a 3-day low of 0.8664 from Wednesday's closing quotes of 1.6787 and 0.8687, respectively.

The aussie edged down to 1.0856 against the NZ dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 1.0868.

If the aussie extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.60 against the greenback, 92.00 against the yen, 1.70 against the euro, 0.84 against the loonie and 1.07 against the kiwi.
