Bluebird Bio Q3 Loss Narrows, Tops Estimates; Revenues Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Bluebird Bio, Inc. (BLUE) reported Tuesday a net loss for the third quarter of $71.73 million or $0.66 per share, narrower than $76.52 million or $0.94 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Total revenues for the quarter soared to $12.39 million from $0.01 million in the same quarter last year, primarily due to SKYSONA and ZYNTEGLO product revenue. On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.67 per share on revenues of $13.41 million for the quarter.
