European Economics News Preview: UK Unemployment Data Due

(RTTNews) - Unemployment from the UK and final inflation from the euro area are the top economic news due on Thursday.

At 2.00 am ET, the Office for National Statistics releases UK unemployment data. The jobless rate is forecast to remain unchanged at 4.6 percent in May.

In the meantime, Swiss foreign trade data is due. The trade surplus is forecast to rise to CHF 4.22 billion in June from EUR 3.8 billion in May.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat publishes euro area final inflation data for June. The flash estimate showed that inflation rose slightly to 2.0 percent from 1.9 percent in May.
