South Korea Consumer Confidence Index Improves In July - BoK

(RTTNews) - Consumer confidence in South Korea strengthened in July, the latest survey from the Bank of Korea showed on Wednesday with an index score of 110.8 - up from 108.7 in June.

Sentiment regarding current living standards was two points higher than in June, at 94, and the outlook was unchanged at 101.

Sentiment related to future household income was unchanged at 102, while the outlook was one point higher than in June, at 111.

Sentiment concerning current domestic economic conditions was 12 points higher than in June, at 86, while the outlook was one point lower than in the previous month, at 106.

The expected inflation rate for the upcoming year was 2.5 percent, while the three-year ahead expected inflation rate was 2.4 percent and the five-year ahead expected inflation rate was 2.5 percent.
