South Korea Consumer Sentiment Index Rises In May - BoK
Consumer sentiment in South Korea improved in May, the Bank of Korea said in Tuesday's Composite Consumer Sentiment Index (CCSI) for May, which posted a score of 98.0 - up from April by 2.9 points.
Consumer sentiment regarding current living standards was one point higher than in April at 88, while the outlook was two points higher at 92.
Consumer sentiment related to future household income was one point higher than in April, at 97, and the outlook was one point higher than in the previous month, at 111.
Consumer sentiment concerning current domestic economic conditions was six points higher than in April, at 64, and the outlook was six points higher than in the previous month, at 74.
The expected inflation rate for the upcoming year was 3.5 percent.
