I agree. This is one of the reasons that I stopped trying to have an actual conversation in this thread.

We're still trading, it's only been about two weeks. Check back at the start of next month, that will be about 6 weeks then.

I trade with Traders Way.Execution seems to be extremely fast and reliable.I had some reservations about using them, because I couldn't find much on the web about them.I just opened a small MT4-Micro account with them, and so far I haven't had any problems at all.I created a stats page for my account here:http://www.myfxbook.com/members/CodeMonkey/codemonkey/899727They seem like a reliable broker in my opinion.

A couple of people mentioned to me that unless an account is Live instead of demo, the account won't be traded the same way.I disagree with the idea that I would trade it any differently, as I manage my accounts using automated methods. However, I went ahead and set up a small micro live account yesterday and have set it for public viewing. Here is the link for it.http://www.myfxbook.com/members/CodeMonkey/codemonkey/899727The account is set to auto update, and is fully verified.

To keep this fair, I think accounts need to be using the "auto update" feature, and be fully verified.

I have a specific set of rules that I trade by, and regardless of demo or live, it will be traded identically.Demo or Live is not important. The topic is can a small account be doubled in 6 weeks or less, and how would we do it.I am trading 7 majors, using a multiple time frame trend strategy, with a money management system.Of the 7 pairs I am trading, I only allow for 2 pairs at a time to be open as the account balance is small.Once a position has closed then a new one can be opened, but never more than two pairs at a time.

And before someone mentions the fact that I am using a demo account for this example, don't bother, because I clearly stated I created the demo for this discussion thread. This thread isn't about live vs demo, it's about doubling a small account in 6 weeks or less.Live account or Demo account is irrelevant in this instance.

This thread has long since past the point of being on topic and turned into a situation of pointless posturing and useless rhetoric... 😲The original post for this thread said the following.Turning $200.00 into $400.00 in six weeks is not that hard providing you are able to follow some basic rules of trading, and use a winning strategy.Yesterday (April 16th, 2014) I created a new account to use for an example in this thread. Here is the page for it.http://www.myfxbook.com/members/CodeMonkey/codemonkey/895003And yes, I know the original topic said $200.00 into $400.00, however, when I cre...

85% draw down?No offense is intended, but don't you think an 85% draw down is a little dangerous to be trading with?

Also.... Simply because I happen to be analyzing 30 pairs doesn't mean I am going to be opening 30 positions. I am simply looking for entry points. I only open a few trades at once, but I continually analyze the market data looking for new entry points, so when one of the previous trades closes out, I can open a new one if possible.Multiple pair analysis with maximum position limits and a solid money management system will provide a good profit if someone is doing it properly.

No. It simply means the person is smart enough to have figured out a system that works for multiple currency pairs and is profitable for them.

Are you manually trading or using an automated trading system? A properly designed automated trading system can easily handle processing a large number of currency pairs. Trying to trade approximately 30 pairs manually would be a considerable task, doing it via automated methods is much easier.

It is flawed logic to assume someone is a newbie trader based uponthe number of currency pairs they happen to be watching. If a trader has a strategy that works on multiple currency pairs profitably, and if the trader is happy with the growth rate of their account, thatdoesn't qualify them as a newbie. I would say the person is smart andtrades with an effective multiple currency strategy.Analyzing multiple currency pairs, means greater possible trading opportunities. For example:A trader decided that they will trade 3 currency pairs. EURUSD, GBPAUD, GBPJPY.They also decided that they are usin...

I agree that it would be hard to do with multiple currencies if you are doing it manually. But using a properly written trading bot, it's not hard to keep the hedge trades properly balanced out. That is a major reason why I use an automated system, it can do all the hard calculations in real time for me, so I don't have to worry about things like that.I trade 28 currency pairs using a system based upon multiple time frames, trending, spread and a few other things. To do that for 28 pairs manually would extremely difficult. But using an automated system, it's pretty trivial actually...

Click the "AutoTrading" button on your metatrader application. That will stop all EA that you have loaded on your charts from trading. If you just want to remove the ea from a specific chart you have it loaded on, you can right click on a chart, then under the Expert Advisors option, select Remove. This will remove the ea from a specific chart.

There is no specific time frame that we can tell you to look at which will guarantee you a profit. There are numerous different trading strategies. Some use very small time periods such as the 1 minute chart, while others like to trade on the daily and weekly charts. It depends on what your trading style and strategy is.
