Yes, the interface should be smooth and they must be reliable for traders. What platforms do you use @Fred?

Reading your query makes me believe in the need for learning from more than one source because if you choose the wrong source of information, the whole of your trading career will go in vain.

I can never compromise with services a broker gives. And why should I? I have put my money there and I should be getting everything whether it is about low spreads or high leverages.

The up and down, give and take fluctuations of the forex market can test the true patience of every trader. The ones who can wait patiently can succeed in the longer run for sure.

I’d rather count patience as my skill. Sitting back patiently while waiting for the right trading setup among hundreds to pop-up on the screen needs some credit.
Big news and requotes

Choosing a competent broker is surely one of the best ways to avoid such unpleasant traps like requotes and slippage. Look for a brokerage company that has a reputation of making profits only by collecting commissions or spreads, and won’t be interested in trader’s unprofitable trading at all.

It’s true that somewhere, we all entered the forex market with the aim of making money. But with time I have realized that you are your own competitor. You have to focus on getting more successful than you were the day before.

I agree with you. If someone’s making good profits, they can surely spare some money in my opinion.

Well, I am not sure in which context you are asking about the most successful trade. There are some trades that get you money and then there are some trades that get you skills that have the power of making you a consistently profitable trader.
High leverage = High risk?

Leverages for me are still like a double edge sword so I do not use that much.

Leverage is indeed 2 sides of the same coin. On one side it will give you major exposure and on the other poses a likelihood of draining all of your funds.
In trading everyone should have some rules

Another thing I would say is that ya I do say that trading rules are important but they should not be shackles for the experimentation in the markets. They should just be guides to not go down the cliff. Something that would refrain a trader from treating trading as gambling for short wins in the markets.

There should be rules and discipline in trading because without it it’s impossible to succeed. Investing brashly with unrealistic expectations would bring you on the road literally. At the end your take away profit is the sum total of the losses and gains. It is not like one profit means you conquer everything.

Day or week is too long, I think even leaving your trade open for a minute without monitoring can be a disaster.

Yeah, leverage can be a pretty risky business. Shouldn’t get involved without proper knowledge.

New traders should practice trading on bigger time frame first, smaller charts that are used in scalping can get very confusing for new traders.

The part where the broker might not pay out the profits is where the trouble starts, and that's why I think people are careful through which broker they trade, someone with a good withdrawal history I suppose is always better.

I have actually been concentrating more on trying to find out different sorts of indicators on different strategies. Researching on what works best with what, and what time in the market. I am a very firm believer that it is all about one’s own skills rather than depending on a broker for profits.
