Indeed. The only difference is that they have to deposit bigger amounts of money in order to lose.

I doubt it will hit 10k this year but 6-7-8 is a possibility. Which in turn, like I said in the other thread, is a good opportunity to make a quick cash flip.

That's what I am thinking as well. Might be a good time to make a quick flip by riding the side movements.

Not every time the newest build is something good :( the ones using MT5 probably mention the discrepancies with the latest build 1930. At least Meta Quotes were fast :D and they released several other updates

Hello Hannibal55 it is now about Darwinex it is looking good – I like it too. It is about the strategies you would like to follow. Some of the investors are not that brilliant as listed and also you need to take under consideration the balance they started with.

To be honest I heard a lot about Darwinex :) and only positives reviews. However, you should be careful when selecting a strategy to follow – there are some hidden milestones. The Broker that I’m currently using presented similar solution with minimum deposit 500 c u, but you can’t achieve the same results as listed. Simply because the strategy started with far bigger sum then that.

The extension was expected. I heard the same 2019 but probably will remain for longer (like forever).

That is interesting experience. I didn’t know there is a platform that could be used only for arbitrage. I still believe that is not legal way to earn money from trading. As far as I know many brokers also think the same.

Its different for the different types of trades. I believe there is no a unified period that should apply for all. To be honest I still keep my demo and test there my new EA on some new symbols that the broker is releasing – like the new cryptos ( I still can’t fully understand them ☹ )
How can we find a reliable platform?

That is 100% true estraub – if I see my broker as the best one you may have different criteria’s and don’t see it that good as I do. I was just mentioning that the current topic we are discussing at with subject : “How can we find a reliable platform” could be combined with topic with subject : “Best Brokers for Newbie”.

MT4 is good but Meta Quotes will stop developing and updating it, that’s why I switched to MT5. It is also good with several features that are useful (like DOM)

Choosing Broker is definitely more complicated for Newbie then for someone with experience. With the time you learn what you should look for and abbreviations like STP, DMA, NDD are understandable. My advice for all start up traders will be to look for exactly those criteria’s (STP – straight through processing; DMA – direct market access; NDD – no dealing desk) and choose broker that fulfil all of them and it is of course regulated.

If it sounds too good to be true - it usually is. Am I missing something? Why would you sell a working profitable strategy/tool or whatever if you can use it yourself instead? Also, when someone tells you he'll sell you a profitable tool/strategy/signals - ask them if you can use it on your current broker. When the answer is "You have to use this broker, with this account" - you can be sure it's a scam. If a strategy/signal is profitable it should be so on every broker.

Can you blame him? I'd HODL some too. Just enough that it doesn't hurt much if/when it crashes. And at the same to a good enough number so that it can bring in a handsome profit if it ever blows up like it did last December.

The Dow and S&P 500 had their worst crash since February as well. You don't see a lot of equity traders complaining… https://www.jfdbrokers.com/en/research/us-equity-markets-plummet-gbp-gains-amid-brexit-optimismIt's just the way the market works - when the markets crash people panic sell or sell to cut their losses. Just take a look at the chart of the market crash from January/February and compare it to the BTC chart in the same time. They are almost identical!

A trustworthy brokers is the first step. The other, for me - personally, is that broker to be a DMA/STP agency-only model. Have segregated account, post trade transparency reports (on demand), to be regulated (with a big enough regulator), and to have negative balance protection.

The 100% way to miss on success is to stay idle and do nothing. P.S Sometimes in trading it's best to do nothing, but not always. Just know when and how to act.

Why not, you can install for instance an external EA that is programmed with a certain strategy. I know that sometimes brokers are offering such HFT systems, but you have to pay additionally. You also have to be well aware of the risk parameters
