Totally feel ya! Self-taught route is rough, but worthwhile. I believe that trial and error really sticks with you. A good resource or mentor would’ve definitely cut down on some of those painful lessons though. Still, it’s all part of the learning process tho. Found any good resources after the fact?

Leverage can be a bit confusing at first. Since you have 30:1 leverage and the provider uses 500:1, the difference in leverage affects the trade size. Even though you selected a multiplier of 1, the actual lot size on your account may change based on your account’s leverage and balance.For example, if the provider trades 0.03 lots, your larger balance and lower leverage can lead to a different position size, like the 3.36 lots you saw. Your $50K balance definitely affects it, so keep an eye on both balance and leverage settings!

Agreed! Beginners need something easy to use, and demo accounts are a lifesaver. Plus, good tools and solid support are non-negotiable for me! And yeah, no one wants to get hit with hefty fees.

Not a silly question at all! When big players like banks sell the euro after bad news, they’re selling at lower and lower prices because there’s more selling pressure than buying demand. Even though there are buyers, the price keeps dropping as sellers accept lower offers just to get out. The more aggressive the selling, the more the price falls until the market finds balance between buyers and sellers again. So it's not just about buyers existing, but the imbalance in who wants to sell vs. who wants to buy at those lower prices!
